Infection Control Policy

Purpose:

To set out the procedures that Drama Tots have put into place to manage infection control within the business in line with current guidelines and relevant regulations.

Distribution:

Drama Tots franchisees, teachers and customers.

Policy Statement:

Drama Tots takes its role in infection control very seriously. This document runs alongside our risk assessment, terms and conditions and training for franchisees and teachers.

The aim of this policy is to ensure that Drama Tots provides an environment which is safe for our customers and team members.

The key objectives of this policy are to:

  1. Set out the framework for the prevention and control of infection within Drama Tots

  2. Ensure all franchisees and teachers understand their roles and responsibilities in connection with the prevention and control of infection at Drama Tots.

  3. Ensure customers understand the steps that Drama Tots is taking to prevent and control infection and work alongside Drama Tots to ensure a safe environment.

  4. Ensure compliance with government guidelines related to infection prevention and control.

Infection control measures are carried out as required. In order to prevent infectious diseases, including, but not limited to Covid-19, customers may be asked to adhere to extra safety measures. Class teachers will communicate any current measures. They may include sanitising hands and wearing a face covering.

We cannot completely eradicate the risk of infection in our classes, therefore by attending classes, customers do so at their own risk.

Illness:

Customers must not attend a class if they or their child are unwell or are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19. You must not attend if you have a contagious illness including, but not limited to, sickness, diarrhoea, chicken pox or impetigo. Please take advice from your doctor and be clear of all symptoms for 48 hours before returning.

A positive Covid-19 case

If a customer, franchisee, teacher or visitor develops Covid-19 symptoms please follow current government protocol concerning testing and isolating.

Cleaning:

Equipment and props will be cleaned where possible after use.

We will be using toys, props and musical instruments which require supervision and we ask you not to allow your child to put these in their mouths.

Training:

All franchisees and teachers receive information and instruction on infection control protocols.

Signage:

Posters and signs will be displayed at our venues where required to remind families of the actions to take.
