Hi, I’m Leanne,

I’m the founder of Drama Tots and I also run our Coventry branch, where, alongside our four fabulous teachers, Avril, Emma, Helen and Sam, we’re incredibly proud to work with over 1,000 children every week through our community classes and partnerships with nurseries, preschools, schools and childminders across Coventry and the surrounding areas.

I trained as an actor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before building a career in children’s theatre. For 12 years, I performed in and wrote shows for children. It taught me so much about what captures a child’s imagination, makes them laugh and, most importantly, keeps them completely engaged.

I created the Drama Tots programme to bring all of that experience together and give children a place where they can learn, explore and grow through the magic of imaginative play.

We’re incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built with local Early Years settings, schools and childcare professionals, many of whom welcome Drama Tots into their settings every week.

Alongside Drama Tots for children aged 18 months–5, we also run Drama Club for children aged 4–11, including after-school clubs in local primary schools. These sessions give older children the opportunity to use their imaginations, develop their performance and communication skills, work together and, most importantly, grow in confidence while having lots of fun.

Everything we do is designed to help children build confidence, communication, creativity and self-esteem.

Our sessions use music, movement, drama and lots of imagination. The children might think they’re simply having lots of fun, but behind every adventure are carefully planned opportunities to communicate, make choices, solve problems, express themselves and explore the world around them.

Our wonderful Coventry team loves seeing children come out of their shells, find their voices and grow in confidence week after week.
